Anubis - too damned earlyby ~silentsteel

A long while back, I read a story based from the cartoon of Mummies Alive. Excellently written, and I adored how the writer managed to reconcile how Anubis was shown in the show, and how he is in the mythology very nicely.

This was a spur of the moment doodle that turned out way too good to not color.

Very nicely drawn and good job on the digital coloring. Anubis is one of the many favorites of mine among the ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses! He's the guardian of tombs and of mummification. Horus is Anubis's elder half-brother (same father, Orisis and different mothers, Isis and her sister, Nephyis *I'm not certain on the spelling*). Love the expression on Anubis's face as he's not really fully awake yet.

I know which story that you're talking about. "Redemption" was the first in the series of stories. I really enjoyed it too. Nice picture by the way. God of death or not, Anubis is not a morning person.
